Seismic Source Location

Seismic wave interferometry can be used to find the location of seismic energy sources in the underground. The process can be automated without the need for cumbersome picking of various wave arrivals. One application would be to continuously monitor induced seismic activity in mines with very little manual effort. In the video, the actual energy sources are shown by black stars and geophones by inverse triangles. The video shows how energy is migrated to its original location.
