About me

Hi there,

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my webpage!

At the bottom of this page, you'll find a link to my website, where you can explore several examples of my past professional work.
Since 2004, I have been utilizing seismic data for a variety of applications, including:

> Oil and gas exploration
> Coal exploration
> Mineral exploration
> CO2 geosequestration
> Near-surface geotechnical investigations

My postdoctoral research at Curtin University focused on high-resolution near-surface earth imaging and rock characterization through seismic waveform inversion and interferometry. These advanced methods yield promising results in several key areas:

> Hard-Rock Mineral Exploration: Imaging sub-vertical structures beneath the regolith barrier down to several hundred meters.

> Near-Surface Geotechnical Site Characterization: Creating high-resolution subsurface images of coal layers, regardless of earth heterogeneity.

> Iron Ore Exploration in Pilbara: Developing high-resolution rock parameter profiles using Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) methods.

Feel free to browse my webpage for more examples of my work in FWI and Interferometry.

I am currently with WSP Australia, and these studies are conducted through this company. If you're interested in collaborating or have any questions, please reach out to me at mehdi.asgharzadeh@wsp.com.

Best regards,
Mehdi Asgharzadeh
